Apple Music to Label AI-Generated Songs

Apple Music will add a 'Made With AI' label to tracks, artwork, lyrics, and music videos where AI played a substantial role in creation, following a March 2026 announcement of Transparency Tags. Music creators are required to disclose AI usage when it contributes significantly to content production. Apple Music VP Oliver Schusser stated that over one-third of monthly uploads are fully AI-generated, though such content accounts for less than 0.5% of actual listening. Labels will become visible to users later in 2026, relying on creator disclosure alongside Apple's internal detection systems.
