Microsoft releases Agent Lightning v1.0, open-source production agent framework

Microsoft released Agent Lightning v1.0, an open-source framework for building and running AI agents at production scale. The release formalizes patterns Microsoft has been iterating on internally for agentic workloads and makes them available to the broader developer community. The project is published under the microsoft GitHub organization.
